One guess
Each day a new animal is revealed. You get one chance to do two things:
- Click the map — place a pin where you think the animal lives in the wild
- Pick a conservation status — guess its IUCN Red List category
Then hit Submit. The range is revealed and you see your score.
Scoring — 10,000 points total
- Location (5,000 pts): Click inside the range = 5,000. Further away = fewer points, decaying over ~2,000 km.
- Conservation (5,000 pts): Exact match = 5,000. Each IUCN level off costs 1,000 pts.
Conservation status levels
EXExtinct — no individuals survive anywhere
EWExtinct in the Wild — survives only in captivity
CRCritically Endangered — extremely high risk
ENEndangered — high risk of extinction
VUVulnerable — high risk if threats continue
NTNear Threatened — close to qualifying
LCLeast Concern — widespread and stable

Unlimited animals in random order. Score accumulates for your session but doesn't affect your daily streak.
